Thad Nation is the owner of the public strategies
firm, Nation Consulting. He is a seasoned public relations professional,
having run the communications efforts of two Governors in different
states, operated as a press secretary for both state and national
parties, and worked in a variety of state agencies.
Prior to starting his own firm, Nation served
as the Communications Director for Governor Jim Doyle of Wisconsin.
Nation ran the Communications Office for both the Governor’s
Office and the Transition, and served as the Deputy Campaign Manager
during Governor Doyle’s 2002 campaign. Prior to joining Governor
Doyle, Nation served as the Press Secretary for Indiana Governor
Frank O’Bannon in both the Governor’s Office and during
O’Bannon’s 2000 reelection campaign.
Mr. Nation has extensive experience in state government,
serving in the executive offices of agencies related to health and
human services, natural resources, public housing, tax policy, and
state information. Nation began his career in the office of then
Governor Evan Bayh of Indiana.
Nation has also served as Communications Director
for the Indiana and Wisconsin Democratic Parties and as a Deputy
Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee.
Thad Nation is a graduate from the University of
Notre Dame. He is a member of the board of directors for
the West
End Development Corporation and
Historic Concordia Neighbors Inc.
Nation lives in Historic Concordia Neighborhood in Milwaukee with
his wife, Dr. Melissa Wein, and their four children.

Joshua Morby is the lead partner in the public
relations and strategies firm Nation Consulting. He is an experienced
journalist and successful public relations specialist.
Before partnering with Thad Nation, Morby worked
as the deputy press secretary for Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle.
While working for Governor Doyle, he coordinated the day-to-day
messaging, public relations strategy and overall communications
efforts for all of the state’s cabinet level agencies.
In addition to serving as the spokesperson for
Governor Doyle Morby helped organize, promote and execute press
conferences and media appearances by the Governor, cabinet members
and constituent groups around the state.
During the 2002 Wisconsin gubernatorial campaign,
he worked as a media consultant for a third party candidate’s
bid for Governor. Morby’s unique and creative press strategies
helped the first time candidate garner an unprecedented amount of
local, state, national and even international attention.
Prior to getting involved in politics he worked
both as a general assignment and freelance reporter for a number
of publications in Wisconsin, ranging from the state’s largest
daily newspaper to several community weekly and bi-weekly publications.
While working as a journalist he covered a variety
of stories and subjects ranging from national politics, local sports,
community news and feature stories.
Josh Morby is a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He currently lives in the
Washington Heights Neighborhood in
Milwaukee.

Sachin Chheda is a
partner at the public strategies firm, Nation Consulting. He is an
experienced nonprofit, advocacy, communications and government
relations professional.
Immediately prior
to joining Nation Consulting, Sachin served Governor Jim Doyle as
Southeast Wisconsin director. In that role, he was the Governor's
senior representative in an 8-county area covering about 40% of the
state's population, including Milwaukee. Sachin also served the Doyle
Administration as a senior Budget & Policy Advisor, and as an External
Relations Manager. He was the Operations Director of the Governor's
transition, and Field Director for the 2002 campaign.
Sachin has fifteen years
of campaign experience in Wisconsin and Missouri, on both Federal and
State races, and has worked as a grassroots organizer in Milwaukee. He
also helped lead a major organizational change effort at UW-Milwaukee,
dubbed "The Milwaukee Idea."
Sachin is deeply engaged
in the community, serving on two nonprofit boards, including as chair
of the Naral Pro-Choice Wisconsin Board of Directors. He also serves
as Vice-Chair of the Milwaukee County Democratic Party and is active
in leading the Darfur Action Coalition of Wisconsin. Sachin attended
the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and currently lives in the Bay
View neighborhood of Milwaukee after 10 years on Milwaukee's East
Side. He is married to Angela McManaman and they have three children. |
